About

I moved into executive level coaching and consultancy for the same reasons I went into teaching 30 years ago – I believe in transformative education, and I love working alongside colleagues as they follow the difficult and rewarding path of leading schools.

Like many head teachers, I have enjoyed a career rich in opportunity and challenge, not exclusively in education. I qualified in New Zealand in the 90s, and have survived many changes in curriculum, policy and judgment criteria since coming to the UK 20 years ago and moving into special education.

Throughout my career, some themes have remained constant: Keep the children at the centre; ensure staff are engaged, trained and expert in education; and support each other as school leaders. Safeguarding and SEND are areas of specialism for me, but I love to work with colleagues in every type and phase of education.

I am currently completing my L7 qualification in Executive Coaching with Educoach, and work in education, the third sector and with small businesses.

I offer face to face and remote support, and work with individuals as well as leadership teams and governing bodies.
